Prelude

In layman's terms, the book of Genesis, Chapter 1, gives an account of how Yahweh created the universe. That might not be convincing enough for people who doubt.

A great place to start would be reading the book of Daniel, Chapter 2. He was a prophet who interpreted the dream of the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, who forgot the dream he had.

Daniel not only was able to describe the dream that the king forgot but also accurately interpreted the dream by prophesying the kingdoms that will come into power after Babylon until the kingdom of God is established on earth. There is historical evidence to prove the accuracy of his prophecies. There are prophecies yet to be fulfilled. Daniel accredited his wisdom, knowledge and understanding to Yahweh.

Acknowledging the Creator can give an answer to questions:
Why are we in this world?
What will happen in the future?

The books in Scriptures were written by people chosen by God to reveal His Sovereignty and what He intends to do for mankind in the age to come.
