Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey
As Jesus and His disciples approached Jerusalem, in Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of His disciples to get a donkey on which no one had ever sat; and the disciples did so.
The disciples laid their cloaks on it and Jesus sat on it, which was in fulfillment of the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9 :
“Say to the Daughter of Zion,
‘See, your King comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
Many in the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut from the fields. The multitudes praised God:
“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

But you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’”

41
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42
“What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?”
“The son of David,” they replied.

44
“ ‘The Lord said to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet.” ’
